ROCKFORD — The Rock River Valley Blood Center is urging individuals to continue to make and keep donation appointments to ensure adequacy of the local blood supply for area hospitals.

The blood center continues to follow regular and enhanced safety measures at donor centers and mobile drives. Donors must be well and healthy, fever free, not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 and must not have traveled outside the U.S. in the last 14 days.

Organizations are also encouraged to call about hosting blood drives to help support the community need.
