I just saw that the Illinois state Senate has requested $41 billion in aid, $10 billion of which is for the state’s self-inflicted pension debt. Such inexcusable ignorance will cause harm in our pursuit of desperately needed funds. Funds for cities, schools, fire and police will suffer.
Any more requests for these emergency funds will be scrutinized, and cut, without a doubt. This will be due to a lack of trust from those in a position to disperse these funds, to a state with irresponsible representatives demonstrating stupidity beyond belief.
