ROCKFORD — Rock House Kids recently received a $5,088.03 grant from Kiwanis Charities of Rockford Inc. to aid in the needed updating of its kitchen in the Rock House Kids facility.


Rock House Kids provide hot meals, take-home food bags and daily essentials to more than 250 inner-city kids of Rockford four evenings a week. It receives no federal, state or city funding, but is fully supported by donations from the generous corporations, churches and individuals in the Rockford area.


Kiwanis Club of Rockford Inc. began in 1917 to serve the children of the community and world. Since 1988, it has awarded local charities over $1,941,492.
