MONROE, Wisc. — Monroe Clinic is now offering radiation therapy for cancer patients in its oncology department.


The therapy is provided by a brand new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator. The provided by a brand new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator.


The clinic also hired Dr. Sophia Edwards-Bennett, a new radiation oncologist. Edwards-Bennett earned her PhD in bioorganic chemistry at Georgia State University and her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, New York. She completed her internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Manhattan, New York, and her residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. She also completed a post-graduate training program in cancer research and therapeutics at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
