Two letters from the extreme far right recently have finally pushed me to a reply, which will satisfy me and not them, sadly.

A retired lawyer wrote that we should stop social distancing because people die in about the same numbers (quoting numbers). The fact that the pandemics numbers have been accumulated over ... three months are equated with other causes acquired over a years time is not taken into account, and the fact that economics takes a front seat to health issues is proof that it is a mistake on the paper’s part not to filter out rubbish.

Same goes for today’s braying that Trump is to be the object of our pity ... which is beneath rubbish.
