ROCKFORD — The Barbara Olson Center of Hope recently received a $1,200 grant from Alpine Kiwanis Charities to purchase new computer equipment, which is used for direct support for the Building Bridges to the Future program.


Building Bridges to the Future is a program at Barbara Olson Center of Hope that provides student transition services (support, education, resources, etc.) to individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and professionals in Winnebago County. The program aims to begin working with students at age 14 with the goal of each individual successfully completing graduation. The center has two specialists who go into the school system to provide these important services.
