ROCKFORD — A man suspected of fatally shooting another man during a drug robbery in Green Bay was apprehended here on Sunday.


Waylon Wayman, 28, of Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, was arrested after a traffic stop by Rockford police officers shortly after 4 p.m. in the 900 block of 11th Street.


Green Pay police were notified and will come here to take Wayman back into their custody.


Wayman was wanted in connection to an April 1 killing near Clinton and 12th streets in Green Bay. A witness told police that he and Wayman met the victim to rob him of methamphetamine and heroin, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette, which cited the criminal complaint.


Another witness told police that the victim had previously stolen $900 and methamphetamine from Wayman.
