ROCKFORD — Rosecrance has been chosen to participate in a yearlong learning community focused on finding ways organizations can better encourage clients with severe mental health disorders to follow prescribed treatment plans.

Funded by the National Council on Behavioral Health, the Medication Adherence Learning Community will connect 10 community-based behavioral health organizations with experts in the field and collaborative opportunities to enhance outreach and programming.

For Rosecrance, the learning community will offer valuable resources for the Winnebago County Therapeutic Intervention Program and Rosecrance’s Assertive Community Treatment program. These provide support for residents with chronic mental illnesses, TIP for people in the criminal justice system, and ACT for the community at large. Both programs include medication management to increase the potential for stability and growth in clients’ lives. Insights will help Rosecrance better understand factors that impact clients’ adherence to medication and other treatment plans.
