I am more than disappointed in the Rockford Register Star’s April 21 publication of Harlan Johnson’s lengthy diatribe directed at the sitting president of the U.S. It’s one thing for Mr. Johnson to personally disapprove of the president, but for the Register Star to use its public forum to print his boldly headlined rant directly above your daily exhortation to "Choose Civility" is an overt betrayal of all those who subscribe to the civility pledge.

The RRStar owes a public apology to its subscribers and all those who are working so hard to Transform Rockford.
