ROCKFORD — Four Rockford teens were charged following an armed robbery Friday on the city’s west side, police said.


Officers responded to the Auburn Manor Apartments, in the 4200 block of Auburn Street, where a 21-year-old victim was robbed at gunpoint while attempting to purchase a video game system.


The robbers took cash and a gun before the victim drove away.


No one was injured.


Four juveniles were located inside an Auburn Manor apartment and were taken into custody.


Two 16-year-old boys were charged with armed robbery, possession of a stolen firearm, theft and no FOID card.


Two other juveniles, ages 17 and 16, were charged with possession of a stolen firearm and no FOID card.


All four were lodged in the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center.
