FREEPORT — The Freeport High School Thespians will present “Christmas Memories” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29-31 in the studio theater in Room 228 at Freeport High School, 701 W. Moseley St.
Guests are asked to park in the west parking lot to get to the theater. The performance will feature a collection of Christmas stories acted out on-stage, including “Merry Christmas, Strega Nona,” “The Little Reindeer,” “A Chanukah Story for Night Number Three,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “A Visit from St. Nicholas.”
The cast also will perform holiday songs including Silver Bells,” “Cool Yule,” “Christmas in Killarney,” “Must Be Santa” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
The performance also will feature the work of local writers Gary Brubaker and Matt Bruehler. Brubaker and his wife, Jody, will perform a Christmas song written for “Christmas Memories.” Last year, Brubaker performed his original song “The Merriest, Magical, Musical Time of Year” with Henry Connors.
Bruehler’s story, “Christmas for the Birds,” will be featured this year. He has written eight stories for “Christmas Memories” since 1998, including “A Christmas Lyrical,” “Yule Tide” and “Stocking Stuffers.”
